Amon-Ra Is a Trap, JSJ Is a Smash: Your Week 2 Cheat Sheet
The Smash Start Nobody's Talking About
Jaxon Smith-Njigba against Arizona is the play of the week and half your league is probably debating whether to start him. Stop debating. Arizona ranks 28th against wide receivers, JSJ is projected for 22.5 adjusted points, and Seattle's implied team total sits at 23. This isn't a matchup you fade. His 84% confidence score is tied for the highest at the position this week. If he's on your bench, fix that now.
CeeDee Lamb gets a bonus mention here. Washington ranks 27th against wide receivers and Dak Prescott is a full-on smash with 22.4 adjusted points projected. Dallas has a 23-point implied total. The Lamb and Dak stacks are printing this week. Both are top-5 plays at their position.
The Fade of the Week
Amon-Ra St. Brown. Yes, he's projected for 20.2 points and yes, he's on everyone's must-start list. But Buffalo ranks 5th against wide receivers and this defense is different from the ones he torched in Week 1. The adjusted projection tells a different story than the raw number. Detroit plays in a 23-point implied total game, so the floor exists, but St. Brown specifically draws the toughest individual assignment of any elite receiver this week. If you have JSJ or Puka Nacua available, play them first.
Waiver Wire Adds Worth Your FAAB
Ignore the Bryce Young hype for now. The real add is Tyler Shough in New Orleans. He's being added in over 434,000 leagues, he has the starting role locked down, and his ROS rank has him trending up with a favorable schedule that includes easy weeks in 3, 6, 12, 13, and 16. He projects at 15.5 points this week with room to grow as he settles in. He's a legit QB2 with upside.
The Injury That Changes Everything
Puka Nacua is out with a hip injury. That's a significant target share suddenly available in the Rams offense. Los Angeles has a 23-point team implied total this week, which means those vacated targets go somewhere. Nacua was projected for 21 points before the injury designation. Monitor the Rams depth chart immediately and prioritize anyone who steps into that slot role on the waiver wire before Sunday.
